The Interdisciplinary Course on Antibiotics and Resistance (ICARe) is a prestigious international training program dedicated to the study of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), held in France. The event brought together researchers, clinicians, and experts from various disciplines to discuss emerging challenges related to the spread of bacterial resistance and innovative strategies to counteract it.

During the course, I had the opportunity to deepen my understanding of key topics relevant to my MSCA project, including:

• molecular mechanisms of antibiotic resistance

• advanced methods for the surveillance and identification of resistant pathogens

• experimental and computational approaches to study host–pathogen interactions

• new therapeutic and diagnostic perspectives

Participating in ICARE_2025 was an important training and networking opportunity, enabling me to integrate new scientific and methodological skills into my research project.

In July 2025, I took part in the Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on Tuberculosis, held in Barcelona, an internationally recognized event in the field of tuberculosis research. The GRC annually gathers leading scientists to foster the exchange of innovative ideas and advance knowledge on the biological and clinical mechanisms underlying Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection.

During the conference, I had the opportunity to explore:

• the latest discoveries on pathogenicity and persistence mechanisms

• new experimental approaches to study host–pathogen interactions

• emerging strategies for the development of vaccines and innovative therapies

• advanced modelling tools and omics technologies applied to tuberculosis

Participating in the GRC represented a significant opportunity for professional and scientific growth, allowing me to connect with international experts and incorporate essential knowledge into the continuation of my MSCA project.

The Merck Young Chemists’ Symposium (MYCs) is a international meeting covering all major areas of chemistry, specifically designed for early-career researchers, including MSc and PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and young professionals from both academia and industry. Thanks to the strong engagement of the Società Chimica Italiana within the European framework (as a member of European Chemical Society), the event has a clear international dimension, attracting participants from across the globe and featuring invited plenary lectures by leading international scientists.

This international scientific conference aimed at bringing together researchers working on antibiotic resistance prevention and control. The meeting promotes an integrated and interdisciplinary approach, gathering experts from diverse fields to address the multiple dimensions of antimicrobial resistance and foster collaboration across research domains. I have contributed to the scientific audience by presenting a Poster

The conference focuses on advances in green chemistry and sustainable engineering, including the design of safer chemicals and materials, environmentally friendly processes, circular economy approaches, and innovative solutions to reduce environmental impact across industrial and research applications.
